Historic preservation of a 1905 Ashland cottage.
This home won the City of Ashland’s 2013 Historic Preservation of the Year award. Designed by Ashland architect Bruce Richey, Benchmark Builders worked closely with the architect and client to deliver their vision—a 920 square foot cottage that retains its historic beauty, but fits a modern lifestyle. The exterior staircase was designed by Ashland landscape architect Kerry Kencairn. Custom cabinets and millwork were fabricated in Benchmark’s shop. Antique plumbing and lighting fixtures complete the period aesthetic.
